Competence of the Department
- Review of closed cases and other coordination (methodological) activities, as far as non-criminal competence consisting in participartion of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in other than criminal proceedings in cases stipulated by the law and supervision over comliance with the applicable legislation during execution of custody, security detention and in the course of exercising institutional and protective care in education facilitites
- supervision over the high Public Prosecutor’s Offices in cases where they exercise their non-criminal competence
- securing own non-criminal competence of the Prosecutor General’s Office:
– the agenda of actions brought by the Prosecutor General’s Office before administrative courts against unlawful decisions of administrative authorities in order to protect public interest,
– the agenda of intervention into proceedings (before the Supreme Court) on recognition of final and effective foreign decisions on divorce of marriage, declaration of nullity of marriage and determination of existence of marriage, and on recognition of final and effective foreign decisions in the matter of filiation and denial of paternity
