The Prosecutor General’s Office is the supreme body of the public prosecution service.

It performs methodical, supervisory and governing functions in compliance with the law.

Special competences of the Prosecutor General (extraordinary appeal, cassation competence) contribute to attaining justice in criminal proceedings.

Prosecutor General may also intervene to protect the public interest by the means of an action brought before an administrative court.

Please note that any submission addressed to the Prosecutor General’s Office must be drawn up in Czech language, submissions in other languages cannot be accepted and will be disregarded.
