1982–1986 – Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague

Professional Career

1986 – legal trainee at the Military Prosecution Service, subsequently investigator and prosecutor

1994 – appointed as public prosecutor at the Regional Public Prosecutor’s Office in Ostrava, worked at the branch office in Olomouc

1996 – transferred to the High Public Prosecutor’s Office in Olomouc

1997–2007 – Deputy to the High Public Prosecutor in Olomouc

2011 – transferred to the Prosecutor General’s Office and appointed as Deputy to Prosecutor General

13/7/2021 – appointed as Prosecutor General

Throughout his entire professional career he has specialized in criminal law, from the perspective of virtually every form of crime. He also specializes in legislation, analytics and methodology. He focuses his publishing and lecturing activities especially on procedural criminal law. He is the chairman of the editorial board of the Public Prosecution magazine.
