He is a member of editorial boards of magazines Pravní rádce /Legal Advisor/, Trestněprávní revue /Criminal Law Revue/ and Státní zastupitelství /Public Prosecution/ and also a member of the scientific board of the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno, Institute for Criminology and Social Prevention and the Institute of Forensic Engineering in Brno. He is a lecturer at the Judicial Academy. He focuses in paricular on the area of criminal law, specifically the issue of traffic crimes, crimes associated with corruption and crimes against the environment. He is the author of a number of publications dedicated e.g. to pre-trial criminal proceedings, the relatonship of public prosecution and authorities conducting pre-trial proceedings, injured parties and adhesion proceedings. He also participated on the elaboration of commentary to the Criminal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure.
