Competence of the Department
- Ensures agenda of requests under Act No. 106/99 Coll., on free access to information
- Drafts internal legislation for the public prosecution system
- Prepares special reports and annual reports of the public prosecution service
- Provides analytical and methodological support for the public prosecution system in both criminal and non-criminal matters
- Ensures the exercise of non-criminal jurisdiction at the Prosecutor General’s Office, including the application of Section 66 of the Code of Administrative Procedure (administrative actions in the public interest), and performs tasks in the area of supervision of places where personal freedom is restricted
- Ensures the external relations of the Prosecutor General’s Office and cooperation with public authorities, professional organizations, and other domestic and international institutions within its jurisdiction
- Provides legal support to the activities of other organizational units in particularly factually or legally complex cases
